Vintage Czechoslovakian Matchbox Labels produced by the Solo Lipnik, Solo Susice and Smrericina factories in the 50's and 60's. They promoted mostly public health and safety and selling the communist ideals at home. The graphics are well known and appreciated for their imaginative ideas and artistic techniques. The Solo Match Company has been producing matches from as early as 1839 until closure in 2008. The Solo Company still exists as a trading company of matches and other objects based on flames and is located in Brno, Czech Republic.
At the end of the book is an appendix with the translation of all messages on the matchbox labels.
