Brian Fay is an Irish artist based in Dublin. His practice is rooted in drawing and he uses the materiality of pre-existing artworks and objects to examine our complex relationship to time and histories. He recently completed a national touring survey exhibition of his drawing practice, The Most Recent Forever, supported by the Arts Council. This book is a record of that tour.
His work is included in the collections of the National Gallery of Ireland, The Arts Council, Crawford Art Gallery, The National Drawing Collection and private collections. More information on his practice can be found on https://brianfaystudio.com
Text by Vona Groarke and Tim Stott, and extracts from interview with Brian Fay and Maud Cotter.
