CUR SÍOS

"We think we're portraying the world, but what we're really offering is just our gaze, bundled like a posy, reality broken down into elemental moments, like an inventory".

'This book has born two years ago when I started to make order and organize my own photographic archive from the 2009 to 2024. These pictures, have not been thought for been a book. I have always capturing everything around me, trying to documenting my life, friends, travels and cotidianity moments.
Capturing a moment that makes you think of a period in your life, remembering a person or a feeling, has been a way to encapsulate my time. Holding it in a tight grip so as not t o let it slip away.
This project is not a diary, there's not a chronological order. From the distance of time I have created this narration, an emotional and wordly dialogue where I connect with typical youth situations to something more generic relative to the passing of time and arbitrariness of life.
After review hundred of negatives from almost 15 years, I had been in touch with the italian photo collective PHMuseum and Lewis Champlin, Loose Joints editor. They helped me and curated the editing. The text is made by the spanish writer Rubén Lardín, is also translated to english.'
