About the Artist

Ailbhe Wheatley is a writer and visual artist based in East Clare, Ireland. Her background in yoga teaching, literature and philosophy informs her artistic practice, which explores themes of interrelationship and embodiment.

Ailbhe graduated with a BA in English Literature in 2019, and completed an MA in Authorial Illustration in Falmouth University in 2023. The basis of her practice is storytelling: a multidimensional practice which incorporates poetry, drawing, movement, photography, performance and.. Listening. Creation becomes a means of peeling back the layers, an inner experience drawn through the imagination.
