About the Artist

Nan Tarpey Heyneman (b. 1995, Rochester, New York, USA) is an American artist based in Dublin, Ireland. He received his BFA in Photography and Expanded Media at Alfred University, and their MFA in Image/Text from Ithaca College. Their work has been exhibited at OUROBOROS, Essex Flowers, New York (2022); at Printed Matter NY Art Book Fair, New York; Printed Matter Virtual Art Book Fair, and PhotoIreland's Tsundoku Art Book Fair, Dublin. They have been featured online in Blue Arrangements, localhost Gallery, Image Text Ithaca Press and its student-run publishing initiative, imagetextinternet.

Heyneman makes photographs, photomontages, collages, and artist books. Reworking images from gaming and queer visual cultures, he is interested in magical, superstitious, and ego dystonic notions and confronting them through role-play.
