Ar cheann de na struchtúir is airde in Éirinn atá Simléir an Phoill Bhig, le feiceáil ón gcuid is mó de chathair Bhaile Átha Cliath. Tagainn an t-ainm “Pigeon House”ón teach ósta a bhunaigh John Pigeon chun sólaistí a sholáthar do na hoibrithe a bhí ag tógáil an Balla Mór Theas.

The Poolbeg Chimneys are among the tallest structures in Ireland and are visible from most of Dublin city. The name “Pigeon House” comes from the inn established by John Pigeon to provide refreshments for the workers building the Great South Wall.
