belvedere: a structure designed to command a view; from the Italian bel "beautiful" and vere "to see"
The Belvedere is produced by Dublin City University's M.A. in Creative Writing programme, a class that convenes often by the Belvedere House.
The Belvedere features a collection of prose and poetry from both emerging and established writers. This dialogue between generations, identities, and backgrounds displays Ireland’s complex and ever-changing literary milieu and captures the array of talent in the DCU creative writing master’s program.
This volume features an ancient king in Sri Lanka, unwilling participants of an international criminal enterprise, social customs at Ugandan funerals, acid trips, and the intricacies of relationships between families, friends, and lovers.
