Shags can often be seen drying their half-open wings, since their plumage is only partly waterproof. Their peaked forehead and yellow gape set them apart from their cousin the Cormorant.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Joe Hollingsworth is a young Irish illustrator living and working in Dublin. He has developed his unique style influenced by Pop Art and American comic books – but the subject matter for this range of prints is much closer to home.
