Tuberclerosies includes a curatorial essay by Aoife Banks, curator of Luan Gallery, alongside an insightful essay contribution from Dr. Edwin Coomasaru.

Kevin Mooney is an Irish artist based in Sample Studios, Cork. Informed by mythology, history, and cultural migration, his work explores a speculative art history of the Irish diaspora. Kevin graduated with an MFA from NCAD in 2012. Since then, he has received several Visual Arts Bursaries from the Arts Council. His work is held in various private and public collections in Ireland and abroad, including Highlanes Gallery, Drogheda, the Arts Council of Ireland, the OPW, and Galway City Council. His solo exhibition, The Erlish Tide, the Excel Gallery, Tipperary, 2021, was supported by an Arts Council Commissions Award.

Luan Gallery, the municipal gallery for Westmeath, is operated by Athlone Arts & Tourism. Its mission is to facilitate diverse, engaging, and accessible contemporary visual art exhibitions and outreach programmes and grow public access, participation, and engagement in the visual arts locally, regionally, and nationally.Β  The gallery places visual arts, cultural diversity, and social inclusion at the heart of its activity. It nurtures engagement between the visual arts and communities of interest and has hosted 82 exhibitions featuring over 1,000 artists and welcomed 144,525 visitors to date.
