Artist’s book Timelines (April, 2014) by Lia Perjovschi illustrates a chronology of events built by the juxtaposition of images and text that shape the subjective history of the world from the Stone Age to date. In addition, a series of notes and key words developed by the artist narrate those events revealing her particular vision of the world. “From cave to the moon… from subatomic world to ultra deep field… a selection of interesting discoveries, ideas and some wars (WW1, WW2, fall of communism and today terrorism)... mainstream history is full of wars (heroes) subjective views… hidden or not so visible discoveries, interesting ideas, delays and misunderstandings, forgotten, postponed or lost projects… everything depends on the majority, a majority capable or not of understanding.”
