Through his project “EnCrudo Archives”, Guillermo is creating a printed record of his personal memories and experiences, in a format that allows him to preserve digital archives over time that are often lost. Each zine represents a period of time or a personal experience that has left a lasting impression on the author, telling the story through the images captured. In this project, the author distinguishes between three types of fanzine: those that recount a journey, an experience, a few days spent somewhere, or an adventure confined to a few days; the so-called “Claroscuros”, which correspond to a specific period of his life, with a beginning and an end marked by a defining event; and experimental mini-projects in which he seeks to explore a thought or idea he wishes to express or experiment with through photography.
This first edition, “2201_nápoles”, recounts the experience of a few days spent in the city of Naples and its surroundings, a brief period of reconnecting with friends, encapsulated between weeks of stress and frenzy. Through analogue photographs and texts, the aim is to convey the sensations experienced in a city like Naples, which has so much to offer and yet so much to fear.
