Speak, David Kjellin

In David Kjellin's 'Speak', speech bubbles have a life, and a language, of their own. In these 20 poems they seem to coalesce, mingle, attract and repel each other in perplexing and sometimes funny ways.

'How does speak speak, and what would it speak if it spoke?

One common way to illustrate speaking is the speech bubble, which is also commonly available as a tool in word processors. Speech bubbles could perhaps then be considered a form of writing, an alphabet consisting of only three letters: round speech bubble, square speech bubble and thought bubble?

So this is really just writing (speaking).'
