TLP Editions 2026 Artists Announced

on April 21, 2026

PhotoIreland announce the artists selected in the 2026 call for proposals: Aindreas Scholz, Berta Mars, Chris Finnegan, Conn McCarrick, David Killeen, Dianne Whyte, Dónal Talbot, Elia de Leon, Elizabeth O’Shaughnessy, Emily O’Connell, Emma Campbell, Finbar Flanagan, Gerry Blake & Carmel Ennis, Glenn Keelan, Inés Pesado Catrufo, James Kelly, Kieran Dunning, Martin Healy, Matthew Gammon, Myles Shelly, Paul Corcoran, Sadhbh Lynam, Steven Nestor, Tony McAteer, and Vera Ryklova. We will work throughout the coming year with these artists to produce their respective publications.

Comprising already 97 publications, the TLP Editions series provides a growing collection of accessible and inexpensive publications, running since 2017,  featuring a broad variety of contemporary photographic practices. This collection is a great addition to public and university libraries, as much as public and private collections, and they help us promote artists within and outside Ireland.

We take the opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to send their proposals for this call. We were very pleased to receive a large and varied number of proposals, and to discover some new practices.

Age is a privilege, unless you forget!, Debbie Castro

This is the central question I explore in my ongoing project Age is a Privilege, Unless You Forget!, which has developed out of a long practice of exploring mental and physical health, addressing a range of themes, such as vulnerability and control. In this project, I take a close look at the wide-ranging effects of Alzheimer's, reflecting on my life and experiences as a starting point.

FathoM, Ryan Allen

My mother had multiple sclerosis from before I was born. I never knew any different, other than knowing her as a sick person and my father as her carer.
FathoM is a visual diary, exploring my fear of transience in response to witnessing the body’s vulnerability. The slow deterioration caused by the illness produced an acute awareness in me of how fragile we are: it’s like I’m waiting for the past to repeat itself.
I began thinking about the strain of the demands on family carers. My father had to be both parents to my brother and me, with an unquantifiable impact on our experience of growing up into men.

The Lesser Streams of Place, Michael Croghan

The lesser Streams of Place is an ongoing project that proposes an artist's responsibility to document local places. It focuses on everyday scenes that are oftne overlooked and especially those that have changed or disappeared over time. By capturing these moments, the work focuses in on a certain aesthetic that might otherwise be lost.

About TLP Editions

TLP Editions is an ongoing collection, produced and designed by PhotoIreland, that presents work by contemporary artists in the form of uncomplicated publications. These are available through The Library Project in-store and online. All funds generated by the project go to producing more copies of the publications, ensuring we can keep promoting the artists and practices represented. These editions are regularly showcased and donated to international events and festivals, most recently, Photobook New Zealand. In addition, TLP Editions also grace some important shelves and collections, including that of the Hasselblad Foundation Library and the Martin Parr Foundation.

You can find a list of all the TLP editions here.
