Utopia Zine: Issue 1

Utopia Zine is a queer sports zine exploring the overlaps between LGBTQ+ identities and sporting culture. It celebrates queer joy in sport while critiquing traditional structures that often exclude queer people. A portion of proceeds goes to Mermaids Gender, a British charity supporting trans, non-binary and gender-diverse children, young people and their families since 1995. Utopia Zine is created by Declan Kelly.

About the Artist:
Declan Kelly is an Irish photographer based in London. His practice explores the intersections of queerness, identity, and sport, often working with independent publishing and DIY print cultures as a means of amplifying underrepresented voices. Declan’s work moves between personal narrative and collaborative projects, focusing on how communities can imagine new, more inclusive ways of being together.
