About the Artist

Svenja Michelle Behle (*1996) is a visual artist and printmaker from Berlin, based in Dublin. In her practice, she incorporates transitional print imagery in ink painting and light installation, exploring the interspace between internal and external experience of image and space and the relationship of subconscious imagery, mythology, and emotion.
Behle pursued formal training at the National College of Art & Design and obtained her BA in Fine Art Print in 2023. She was awarded three Graduate Awards for her degree show `No Remedy for Memory ́ by DamnFinePrint Studio, Black Church Print Studio, and Richmond Road Studios, Dublin. During her degree, she completed an internship in lithography and screen print at the
renowned print workshop of the Bethanien Creative Center in Berlin. Her work has been shown in exhibitions in Berlin, Dublin, and Ireland-wide, including at the Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray and purchased into the Office of Public Works Collection, Ireland. In 2024, she opened her first solo show, `The Lingering Glow of Folding Fans ́ at Richmond Road Studios. She is on the assisted access and teaching panel at Black Church Print Studios and currently works out of her studio in Richmond Road Studios, Dublin. In 2024, she co-founded The Art Shelter Collective with whom she curated their second show, `How to peel an onion without crying. ́ in July this year. She is due to show work in the upcoming Emerging Curator exhibition at The Library Project in February 2026.
