DESCRIPTION

The title “improbable, imaginary, invisible, tuning sound to bodies, bodies to sound” is a poem and a blurb. This book is queer, playful, and tongue-in-cheek. The 77 drawings of imagined tuning forks range from the geometric and the anthropomorphic, to the saucy and the absurd. They invite a sense of play and synaesthetic interpretation. What sounds would they make?

The layered risograph palette of fluorescent pink, aqua, yellow, and metallic gold, ebb and flow in a way that is reminiscent of Kirlian photography.

The colours take inspiration from the Cosmic Octave; a theory of colours, tones and harmonies that resonate with our chakras and the planets. The progression of colour moves through the pages like a DNA spiral
