The work F20.5 depicts the confrontation of the artist’s own childhood, during which her father suffered from residual schizophrenia.
Through the reconstruction of Lizde’s own past and reinterpretation of the father’s visual hallucinations, she is staging situations placing herself and her twin sisters in order to acknowledge and show the influence the illness had on the entire family.
Lizde uses photography as a therapeutic instrument, to relive and accept, from a distance, powerful experiences and memories, portray and transform them and, in this way, to get to know herself anew.
