Pig Pen is a collection of drawings by Rory Mullen. Taking the form of an artist’s sketchbook, the drawings act as notes, designs and proposals for future works. Drawing is a central facet of Mullen’s practice which includes large-scale sculpture, performance and set design. Using modest materials such as crayon, muck, pen and pencil, Mullen playfully explores folklore, ancient mysticism and vernacular architecture.
Rory Mullen is an artist and set designer based in London. He graduated with an MFA in Fine Art from the University of Salford, Manchester in 2016. His practice explores folklore and narrative through performance, sculpture, drawing and installation. He takes an ad-hoc approach to making, adapting and transforming everyday materials to create playful assemblages and large scale sculptural works.

Muine Bheag Arts engages with the local context to present projects in the public realm. Our approach is collaborative, welcoming and experimental and aims to foster dialogue between artists, audiences, community and place.
