Handmade zine documenting some time spent in Taipei and Tokyo in a mixed media style.
In its 28 pages, it contains photographs of interesting places and details within these two cities, collaged with little momentos such as intricate stamps that feature in some MRT stations, cut outs, cute stickers and washi tape collected along the way, with some scans of my prints and illustrations that were inspired by this trip.
Sophie Carroll-Hunt is a visual artist based in Longford, Ireland. She works with a variety of art mediums, combining aspects of traditional printmaking techniques, illustration and photography in her publications and artwork, which are often defined by bold lines, bright colours and playful repeating motifs. She has a degree in Visual Art Practice and is a member of Black Church Print Studio.
