About the Artist

Aidan Geary is a photographer and artist currently based in Belfast. Originally from Dublin, he spent many years living in London and South East England before moving to Northern Ireland in 2022.

His practice explores our interventions on the land, and interpretations of the landscape, and uses images of the land to examine perception, looking, and lost histories. Like a kind of archaeology, by looking closely, we can peel back layers, perceiving not just how we shape and alter the land, but how we conceive of meaning in the land, and what we choose to remember or ignore.

Aidan’s work has been included in group shows in the Douglas Hyde Gallery in Dublin, Belfast Exposed Gallery, Platform Arts, and Embrace Studio in Belfast. In 2025, he completed an MFA degree in Photography at the Belfast School of Art. Previously, he studied multimedia at Trinity College Dublin and has a background in digital media, press, and television.

Framed prints are no longer posted. We only deliver framed prints within Dublin. All postage costs for unframed works are processed separately following the order of the print. This is to allow for specific protective packaging for each individual case. After purchase, we will contact you to organise delivery and payment for the delivery costs.

Alternatively, free Click-and-Collect is available from The Library Project at 4 Temple Bar Street, D02YK53, during opening hours.
