Oh, to scratch that itch, eh? Well, take my word for it, I've to read a few in my time, to know what I was about, and the books say nothing! Nothing can teach or believe. They're about non-existent people, figments of imagination, if they're fiction. And if they're non-fiction, it's worse, one professor calling another an idiot, one philosopher screaming down another's gullet. All of them running about, putting out the stars and extinguishing the sun. You come away lost.'

ALSO editions is a Dublin-based publications imprint co-ordinated by Peter Maybury. This began with the pop-exhibition ‘Formats’ showing books and printed publications from my collection, in sizes ranging from very small books (60x87mm) to tabloid size; ‘Finishes’ was an exhibition of more than 90 books on which I have collaborated; the zine SELECT YOUR NETWORK stemming from the module ‘SELECT YOUR NETWORK message montage sequence’ which I piloted in the second semester, 2018; and a reference book table permanently located in the design studios. Subsequently we made a wall-work presenting 446 Instagram posts from students as part of their research during the module. Current and on-going displays include slideshows and floorshows and a vitrine containing samples from various collections, all presented at TU Dublin School of Art & Design.

Published by Peter Maybury
ALSO Editions
24 pages + polypropylene insert with unique cut-out text
edition of 50 copies, with rubber stamp logo

165 x 195mm

https://www.thelibraryproject.ie/products/various-erasures-and-extractions-on-memory-perception-property-recordings-and-accounts-of-being-there-peter-maybury
