Sinéad Curran has an MA in Visual Arts Practice (IADT). She is a visual artist with practice-led research that examines the complex relationship of individuals to place employing a visual lens in the context of the ways we live today, devising approaches to complex site-specific response. Recent exhibitions include Earth Rising at IMMA (2022), PhotoIreland Festival (2022), Tune into Green, Diorama, Austin Texas (2022) curated by Stephanie Reid, solo exhibitions: at Linenhall Arts Centre (2019), The Darkroom (2019), Rua Red(2015), Illuminations Gallery(2013). Sinéad has participated in Tulca: A Headless City (2016), and has been awarded residencies at Villa Lena, Italy(2022), Cow House Studios (2018), Banff Center for Arts & Creativity Canada(2017), Digital Media Residency (2014/2015) Rua Red, Fire Station Artist Studios (2013). Sinéad is a recipient of the Arts Council of Ireland Artist Bursary Award (2021) and Agility Awards (2021 & 2022). Critical thinking informs her work through making, and varied disciplines that include the writings of Donna Harraway, Robert MacFarlane, Timothy Morton and Robin Wall Kimmere.
