    About the Artist

_a_h_are_s_rush_ is sarah usher, and sometimes sarah mixtapes.

She works mainly in small notebooks, with glue and found paper objects, and rarely shows these to the world. She enjoys mistakes, misrepresentations and coincidences, which has led to an interest in exploring glitches and text edits.

She studied Visual & Material Culture at Edinburgh College of Art, where her main focus was DIY culture. She has also completed MA in Digital Humanities at Maynooth University examining digital reproductions of original artworks.

Over the years she has produced a number of fanzines and freesheet publications. The most recent of these was a risograph collaboration with Damn Fine Print titled The Possibilities Are Endless. She is currently researching mid-century iconography from her hometown and has artwork featured in the 2021 Kells Type Trail.

She is a volunteer with the letterpress skills transfer project at The National Print Museum (Dublin).
