Debbie Castro explores the subtle unconscious action of control or lack of control with the death instinct as the drive of her work. Her work utilises photography and video, exploring the relationship and collaboration of the object and the subject.
Castro earned a BA in Psychology & Psychoanalysis, and an MA in Photographic Arts from the University of Westminster, UK.
In 2018, Castro had her second solo exhibition in Bermundsey Project Space (London) along with being selected as part of Opening the Gates PhotoIreland Festival 2022.
Castro currently lives and works in London, UK.
