Gareth Byrne is a fine art photographer based in Dublin, Ireland. He is a recent graduate of Photography & Digital Imaging at NCAD and has been selected as part of the RADAR graduate programme by PhotoIreland. His graduate project ‘It Could Be You’ featured at PhotoIreland Festival, 2022 which explored visual culture in gambling & advertisement and consumer culture. He’s been a keen advocate and collaborator in the Irish Dance & Theatre scene and has since collaborated to create work that has been selected at both Irish & International Film Festivals such as Fastnet Film Festival & Leeds International Film Festival. His interests include documentary photography, colour analogue photography & urban landscape and is currently pursuing new urban landscape projects in coastal towns of Portugal that depict everyday surfaces and landscapes as painterly abstractions.
