About the Artist

Conor Horgan is an acclaimed photographer, writer and filmmaker. After completing an artist’s residency in the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris in 2017 he moved to the city for two years to fully experience the breadth of its photographic culture.  Since returning and throughout the lockdowns he’s adopted new approaches to his practice and has moved into entirely new areas of subject matter, mainly landscape and still life. This new work has been well received,  both by being supported with an Arts Council Agility Award in 2021 and 2022 and being selected for several major exhibitions this year, including PROTEST! in the Gallery of Photography, the RHA annual, the RUA annual, two shows in the Photo Ireland festival and "Post-State", a solo exhibition of landscapes and found objects in the RHA. He has recently been commissioned by the T.S. Eliot Foundation to produce a limited edition print to commemorate the centenary of The Waste Land.
