About the Artist

Alex Keogh is a visual artist and printmaker from Dublin, Ireland. She graduated with an Honours in Fine Art Printmaking from the National College of Art and Design in 2020. She became a member of the Black Church Print Studio upon receiving the 1st prize John Kelly RHA award for her high contrast yet delicate photographic work. Alex was selected as the 2021 photographic artist in residence at The Darkroom Dublin where she created and curated her first solo exhibition. Her work is a combination of methods including experimental photography, printmaking and audio. Her work is inspired by her deep connection and curiosity to the natural world. Whether it be exploring the behaviours and movements within water or the organic structures in nature, Alex focuses on the patterns, textures and layers created and translates this through her works.
