Tolka, Issue 12
Tolka is a Dublin-based biannual literary journal of non-fiction, publishing essays, reportage, travel writing, auto-fiction, individual stories and the writing that falls in between. We publish and promote work that is formally promiscuous and which does not fall into fixed categories. Tolka is edited by Catherine Hearn and Liam Harrison, and is proudly supported by the Arts Council.
In this issue, Ruby Eastwood flies lucidly through a year of dreaming, Marianne Brooker moves in beside her therapist and Declan Toohey sets up his own therapy practice. We also have work by Japanese writer, essayist, and philosopher Rei Nagai, translated by Polly Barton, and poet Jessica Traynor interviews writer and activist Evgeny Shtorn about his forthcoming novel The Refugee Chronicles.
Featuring writing by Marianne Brooker, Ralf Webb, Rei Nagai translated by Polly Barton, Eva O’Connor, Devki Panchmatia, Declan Toohey, Ruby Eastwood, Evgeny Shtorn with Jessica Traynor, Brendan Mac Evilly, Dane Holt, Marina Scholtz, and James Roseman.
