the-garden-series-kevin-griffin
The Garden Series, Kevin Griffin

'In the tranquil embrace of my garden, where nature quietly reclaimed its space during the stillness of the pandemic, I found a world teeming with unassuming beauty. Through my lens, the wildflowers of the garden — often overlooked and dismissed as mere weeds — were illuminated in a new light, revealing the intricate elegance and resilience that thrives beneath our very feet. Each photograph in this collection, born from the untamed corners of the garden, serves as a testament to the unexpected grace found in the wild.

I hope the work captures the vibrancy and vitality of these flowers, inviting viewers to reconsider what beauty means and where it can be found. Using the delicate balance of light and shadow, colour and form, the images celebrate the fleeting, yet profound, moments of connection between human and nature. Amidst the uncertainty of those days, my flower photography, nurtured in the quiet sanctuary of the garden, offers a reminder of the enduring splendour and strength that lies in the natural world's humblest corners.'
(Words by Kevin Griffin)

kevingriffinphoto.com

For those that are not familiar with the project, TLP Editions is an ongoing collection, produced and designed by PhotoIreland, that presents work by contemporary artists in the form of uncomplicated publications.
