A once fairy fort was leveled to make way for a county council dumping site. Skip forward 10 years to 1980 and the discovery of toxic waste in the landfill by locals sparks protests in the surrounding communities. A protest that instills a rebellious spirit in Faolán’s family and defines their lifetimes and, as a result, his own.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eNow as an adult he returns to the land, both, to show what has come of it since the council’s commitment to using it as a landfill and also in an attempt to understand the nature of the beast.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"a-b-r-La\"\u003eThis grotesque and cursed landscape and its significance in his life, during a time of personal loss.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"a-b-r-La\"\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eFor those that are not familiar with the project, \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/photoireland.org\/project\/tlp-editions\/\" title=\"TLP Editions\"\u003eTLP Editions\u003c\/a\u003e is an ongoing collection, produced and designed by \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/photoireland.org\/about-photoireland\/\" title=\"PhotoIreland\"\u003ePhotoIreland\u003c\/a\u003e, that presents work by contemporary artists in the form of uncomplicated publications. These are available through \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.thelibraryproject.ie\/\" title=\"The Library Project\"\u003eThe Library Project\u003c\/a\u003e in-store and online. All and any funds generated by the project go to producing more copies of the publications, ensuring we can keep promoting the artists and practices represented. These editions are regularly showcased and donated to international events and festivals, such as the Icelandic Photography Festival recently.
