I had planned to share the journey—and the challenges of driving in an Icelandic winter—with a friend, but when they pulled out at the last minute, I resolved to go alone. I had been dreaming of this trip for years. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eAs soon as I left Reykjavík, I found myself pulling over every few minutes to photograph and quickly realised that taking this trip alone was a blessing in disguise. With no schedule but my own, I could follow every impulse down quiet roads, linger at abandoned buildings, or trek across vast, snow-covered landscapes. These are available through \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.thelibraryproject.ie\/\" title=\"The Library Project\"\u003eThe Library Project\u003c\/a\u003e in-store and online. All and any funds generated by the project go to producing more copies of the publications, ensuring we can keep promoting the artists and practices represented. These editions are regularly showcased and donated to international events and festivals, such as the Icelandic Photography Festival recently.
