His work explores everyday occurrences, mundane objects and events. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eRecently moved back to Ireland after over a decade in the UK, his current practice centres on the home and suburbia; critically interrogating ideas of home-making, childhood and the domestic sublime. He regularly collaborates with his young sons.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSolo exhibitions include 'Someone Else's Somewhere' at the Mills Centre, London in 2015, 'House Rules' at 6 Central Avenue in 2022, and 'The Grammar of Home' at Galway City Library in 2024. In 2023 his photographic series \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.thelibraryproject.ie\/collections\/tlp-editions\/products\/house-rules-chris-finnegan?_pos=1\u0026amp;_sid=b7099a91e\u0026amp;_ss=r\"\u003e'House Rules'\u003c\/a\u003e was published by PhotoIreland as a TLP Edition. In 2024 his photobook, \u003ca rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chrisfinnegan.art\/suburban-fantastic\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e'Suburban Fantastic',\u003c\/a\u003e was published by Biscuit Books.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eResidencies include Open Residency at Cow House Studios, Wexford and Sample-Studios Summer Residency 2024 at Cork College of Further Education and Training.
