The purpose of the camp was to show resistance to the proposed Shannon LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal nearby. As part of the camp, artist Éilís Murphy facilitated a flag-making workshop. Participants designed and painted large-scale flags that were then erected along the roadside boundary of the field. The flags were a colourful display of resistance and they remained in place for three months after the camp.

This handbound artist’s book captures the vibrancy of this collaborative project, with flag-shaped illustrations of the participants’ flags.

Self Published
Limited edition of 75 signed copies
Softcover
34 pages risoprinted on recycled paper
Handbound by Éilís Murphy // Folded Leaf
150 x 100 mm
ISBN 9780993577055
